I agree with you here. It's not just happening in Darwin either. I reckon a major factor is that money and people with the right skills to keep something like that maintained is just too much for developers nowadays, not sure though just my opinion. A build it and leave it sort of thing cheaper in the short term. We've still got some parks down here dating back to the mid 1800's. Not quite sure how they're still here considering Bacchus Marsh is becoming pretty urbanized but they're nice. Giving the town an old school down to earth feel.
